I work as an editor and consultant for a variety of publishers and individuals. I bring over fifteen years experience as a trend and futures consultant and more than a decade working in publishing (books, magazines, and literary journals), as well as in teaching writing at the high school, college, and graduate school levels.
For publishers: I offer reader reports, translation consultations, copyediting and proofreading, developmental editing, acquisitions consultations, and all manner of publishing and editorial support.
For writers and artists: I offer guidance on developing texts ranging from artist statements and application essays to full literary manuscripts. I enjoy working with writers at every stage of the process, whether that’s brainstorming , proposing generative prompts and deadlines, offering line edits and editorial letters, providing feedback and support throughout pitching and querying, recommending publishing outlets, etc.
**I have a background in working with artists of all mediums and an affinity for hybrid projects, genre-defying works, multilingual texts, and writing that pushes against the edges of language.
